Abstract Noun of Quality (ऍबस्ट्रॅक्ट नाऊन ऑफ क्वॉलिटि) म्हणजे 'गुणदर्शक भाववाचक नाम' होय.
Abstract Noun of Quality चा संबंध 'Adjective' शी असतो. शेकडो भाववाचक नामे ही Adjectives पासून तयार होतात.

प्रत्यय 'ness'
Adjective पासून तयार होणाऱ्या काही Abstract Nouns ना शेवटी 'ness' हा प्रत्यय लावलेला असतो.
एखाद्या noun च्या शेवटी जर 'ness' हा प्रत्यय लावलेला असेल, तर ते Abstract Noun of Quality समजावे.
