How to use 'at'

Simple Preposition 'at'

at (ऍट) हे एक Simple Preposition आहे.

इंग्रजी व्याकरणामध्ये at  चा उपयोग पुढीलपैकी एखादा अर्थ दर्शविण्यासाठी केला जातो.

at = कडे (गतीची दिशा)

For example (उदाहरणार्थ),

Example 1

• He threw a stone at me.
• त्याने माझ्याकडे (माझ्या दिशेने) दगड फेकला.

Example 2

• She rushed at them.
• ती त्यांच्याकडे (त्यांच्या दिशेने) धावली.

at = वाजता, वेळी

For example (उदाहरणार्थ),

Example 1

• We will reach Mumbai at at two o'clock.
• आम्ही मुंबईला दोन वाजता पोहोचू.

Example 2

• He asked some questions at the end of the lecture.
• त्याने व्याख्यान संपताना (संपण्याच्या वेळी) काही प्रश्न विचारले.

at = वर, पाशी, ..ला (जागेला)

For example (उदाहरणार्थ),

Example 1

• They met him at the railway station.
• ते त्याला रेल्वे स्थानकावर भेटले.

Example 2

• The train will not halt at Pune.
• ही ट्रेन पुण्याला (पुणे स्थानकावर) थांबणार नाही.

at = एखाद्या कार्यात (स्थितीत)

For example (उदाहरणार्थ),

• He is at work.
• तो कामात आहे.

Example 2

• Those two nations are always at war with each other.
• ती दोन राष्ट्रे नेहमी एकमेकांसोबत युद्धात (युद्धजन्य स्थितीत) असतात.

at = दराने, किंमतीने

For example (उदाहरणार्थ),

Example 1

• He is selling mangoes at Rs. 200/- a dozen.
• तो २०० रूपये एक डझन या दराने आंबे विकत आहे.

Example 2

• We bought the chairs at one thousand rupees.
• आम्ही त्या खुर्च्या हजार रूपये किंमतीने विकत घेतल्या.
